The Principle of "No Harm, No Reciprocation of Harm" and its Impact on the Development of the Earth in Islam

Abstract

This research examines the principle of "no harm, no reciprocation of harm" from a jurisprudential and civilizational perspective, demonstrating its impact on the development of the earth. The study emphasizes that this principle is not merely a devotional ruling, but rather a comprehensive principle that guides human behavior and regulates life in various fields, achieving justice and social balance, and preserving rights. It also clearly contributes to achieving the objective of developing the earth, which is one of the deepest objectives of Islamic law. Therefore, activating this principle in contemporary policies—urban, environmental, and developmental—is a practical extension of the spirit of Islamic law.
