Abstract

This research aims to explore the impact of light and shadow in contemporary art through a comparative study between the works of the artist Yves Klein and monochromatic photography. Light is considered a fundamental element in constructing artistic compositions, and Yves Klein employed it innovatively in his monochrome paintings, transforming light and color into tools for shaping space and evoking concepts of void and infinity.

The study connects Klein’s use of light with the author's own experience in photography, where light and shadow serve as structural elements in building spatial dimensions within the image.
