Legal guarantees to protect principles of social justice

Abstract

This research aims to identify legal aid, explain its constitutional basis, clarify its content, and explain the categories eligible for it and its effects on social justice. The research problem is summarized in the relationship between the concept of legal aid, which must include the idea of justice for the poor and human dignity. The absence of legal aid negatively affects human dignity. Our research used a comparative deductive and analytical approach. The research results indicate that legal aid is essential for all groups in society, with particular importance for persons with disabilities, women, immigrants, and asylum seekers. Legal aid should not be limited to criminal law but extended to other branches of law and the pre-trial stage in criminal law. Its effects on social justice include supporting the vulnerable, combating poverty, and improving access to justice. Keywords: Social justice; Legal guarantees; Legal aid; Human rights
